Neshaminy School District is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant to work in a specialized classroom. Neshaminy identifies specialized classrooms as classrooms of students receiving Autistic, Life Skills, Multiple Disabilities, and Specialized Learning Support.
Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education or the PA Credential of Competency certification, as well as experience working with students in the disability categories listed above (preferred but not required).
The Instructional Assistant, under the supervision of a special education teacher, may re-teach skills, implement behavior interventions, and provide crucial support to students with activities of daily living (ADL), which may include toileting. This list of duties is an example and may not include all the responsibilities of the Instructional Assistant.
